Banana Bread
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 cups all-purpose unbleached flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup nuts (slivered almonds, mmmm)
Preheat oven to 375, grease a 9x5 loaf pan
With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar, add eggs
Sift dry ingredients, combine and mix well
Add bananas, sour cream and vanilla
Fold in nuts, and pour into the pan
Bake 50minutes to 1 hours, cool on a rack
